CLARA PECHANSKY - draftswoman, painter, printmaker. Born in Pelotas, RS,
Brazil, in 1936.
Lives and works in Porto Alegre.

ART STUDIES
1956 - Bachelor in Painting - School of Fine Arts, Federal University of
Pelotas
1972 - Drawing and History of Art Teacher's Degree - School of
Education, RGS University
P.Alegre
1958 to 1986 - Free studies on Painting, Drawing, Woodcut, Lithography
and Etching with
distinguished Brazilian Art masters.

SELECTED
and invited for more than 70 exhibitions, biennals and
triennials on Painting, Drawing and Graphics in 17 different countries.

Over 30 personal exhibitions, in Brazil and other countries.
Received 3 international awards:
Nikola Tesla Prize - Aquisition - Drawing - 5th Drawing & Printing
Biennial - Tuzla, Yugoslavia - 1988
Recognition Award - Art Prospect' 96 (Top 100) - Etching - La Jolla,
California, USA - 1996
