Pep Manalang

Born in Manila, Ma.Belina S. Manalang, or “Pep” as she is known, has always been interested in both art and science. She started out majoring in Architecture at U.P. Diliman but ended up with a Physics degree. After obtaining her Master’s Degree in Physics from SUNY Buffalo, she attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, where she finished the four-year certificate course with a major in Painting in 1994. As a student there, she took four semesters of Etching. Manalang is also an accomplished photographer.

Manalang’s abstract paintings have been widely exhibited in Metro-Manila.
