My work has evolved over time into abstract/semi-abstract paintings that are heavily textured and may include pieces of other artwork such as etchings, photographs, or other paintings.

One recurring theme is the repetition of lines, vertical or horizontal, in a typically symmetrical composition.

Currently my work seems to fall into two categories - either a highly structured composition filled out with lines, or a more loosely conceived framework often based on incorporating a previous artwork into the piece.

I approach every painting as an exploration, and the process of painting is a searching, analogous to the searching for meaning in everything we do. The meaning does not have to be concrete; often it cannot be put into words.

Every finished painting is a stepping-stone to pause at a point of departure.
